The First Nokia Dual Sim

Nokia announced four new Cseries phones, including the Nokia C1-00. The Nokia C1-00 is Nokia's first phone to feature a 2-in-1 double SIM solution. It allows owners to switch between SIM cards by simply holding down a button. That allows owners to switch SIM cards while traveling between countries, or families and friends to share the same phone.

Nokia says the C1-00 has a battery life that can last up to six weeks, and that it's the longest battery life that Nokia has ever provided on a phone. The phone also offers a flashlight, an FM radio, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The C1-00 is expected to ship in the third quarter of 2010 and will cost 30 EUR

Comparatie intre Nokia n8 si iphone 4G

Nokia Corp, the world's largest mobile phone maker has announced its flagship smartphone "N8" based on Symbian 3 operating system. The new handset is designed to compete with next generation iPhone and Blackberry devices in the high-end smartphone devices.

Nokia has been counting on the new operating system to win-back its market share, lost to various new rivals.

Further, various analysts predict that the new N8 smartphone will also compete with Android based devices or Sony Ericsson's 12 MP camera phone. Nokia claimed that the device would be better than its early high-end hit phones like N95 and N900. However, from the last many years, the company lacks a top-range model to challenge Apple's iPhone.

Here, the features compare the two devices (N8 and iPhone 4G) to indicate; Would Nokia N8 compete with Apple's iPhone 4G?

Symbian^3 Vs iPhone 4.0 OS:

Last month, Apple had introduced its updated operating system, Iphone 4.0 OS, which will have more than 100 new features like multitasking support, improved email client service, Drag and Drop functionality and many more. Market analysts predict that it will be the most advance mobile OS of planet. It will be available on the next iteration of iPhone and iPod Touch in June. Further, it will also be available on iPad later this year.

However, Nokia had announced the Symbian^3 on 15 February 2010, which will be available in the market by next month. The operating system will include new features like HDMI support, a new 2D and 3D graphics architecture, and UI improvements. Nokia N8 will be powered by the Symbian^3 operating system.

Processor:

It is reported that Apple's iPhone 3G has a 620 MHz processor, while the iPhone 4G would have a Dual Core processor. It is expected that the future device will be powered by a 1GHz processor. A better processor will help users to do more and also offer a better platform for developers to think more.

In contrast to Apple, Nokia has been offering multitasking even with 300 MHz processors (N82, which can run about 60 apps at a time). Nokia N8 will be powered by ARM11 680 MHz processor, which will be better than its 300 MHz processor.

Memory support:

Apple has the legacy, not to provide MicroSD Card support in its devices. But, Nokia offers 16GB eMMC mass memory plus micro SD card slot that support upto 32GB external storage and 135MB internal memory. Further, N8 features 256 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. It is expected that besides support for external storage, Apple will come up with better RAM and Application memory in its next device.

Display:

Nokia N8 will feature 3.5" multi-touch capacitive screen. However, it is predicted that Apple will introduce new OLED based screen in its next generation iPhone. But, one thing is sure that the iPhone 4G will have multi-touch and capacitive screen along with much higher resolution than present smartphones.

Camera:

One thing in which Nokia is a clear winner is camera segment. Nokia N8 will feature 12 MP Camera with HD Recording and Xenon Flash. Meanwhile, sources said that Apple will introduce dual camera in the new device for video conferencing
